Short Wedding Dresses for Your Summer Wedding

Summer wedding season is upon us! And if you're like many brides, you may be wanting a wedding dress that's memorable yet fitting for the more casual season. This week, we've rounded up some of our favorite St. Pucchi short wedding dresses that are perfect for that summer wedding.

Subtle floral details make this St. Pucchi short wedding dress flirty and feminine.

A tulle skirt is a favorite for many brides; embrace that princess feel with a short tulle skirt like this St. Pucchi number.

For a short wedding dress with a sophisticated feel, we love St. Pucchi 19, which features a longer hemline in the back, mimicking a traditional wedding gown's train.

Thinking of trying a short wedding dress but love the look of a train? Try St. Pucchi 15, made of gorgeous Guipure lace with a detachable tulle train. It's playfully pretty.

2015 Wedding Dress Trend: Sheer Sleeves

One of our favorite 2015 wedding dress trends is the use of sheer sleeves. Royalty like the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, and the former Princess of Monaco, Grace Kelly, walked down the aisle in gorgeous wedding dresses with lace sleeves. And even a recent article in The Knot called sheer sleeved dresses one of this year's hottest wedding dress trends. This week, we've rounded up some of our favorite St. Pucchi dresses that feature beautiful sheer sleeves. The look is modest yet sophisticated and absolutely timeless.

Mila 706

Mila 706

For the bride not wanting a full sheer sleeve, Mila 706 is a beautiful option. The sheer lace detail sleeve beautifully enhances the sheer jewel neckline.

Sheer cap sleeves are both delicate and demure. St. Pucchi Mila 702 also features a beautiful sheer panel in the back, adding to the drama of this beautiful gown.

While some wedding dresses with sleeves accent the dress, St. Pucchi 9430 continues the same lace pattern all the way up the neckline and to the wrists. This elegant dress is perfect for the bride who wants to make a statement.

For the bride who wants a modest look for her wedding day, St. Pucchi Z364 is a wonderful choice. The cap sleeves are demure and the open back adds a flirty element to the dress.

A beautiful example of how sleeves can accent and complement your wedding dress is seen here on St. Pucchi 710. In this case, the shoulder accents truly add something special to this look.

The hand-beaded bodice and cap sleeves on St. Pucchi 9337B is both feminine and delicate.

Statement Making Wedding Veils

A gorgeous handmade wedding veil is the perfect complement to any wedding dress. Pick one that truly shines with one of these statement-making wedding veils.

A custom made matching veil is a beautiful way to carry on the theme of your wedding dress. This dramatic cathedral length veil features the same floral appliqués as on the wedding gown.

When it comes to wedding veils, this handmade St. Pucchi veil screams drama. In this case, the gorgeous trim on the veil beautifully compliments the tulle ballgown.

Although many brides think a statement-making wedding veil has to be full length, that's not the case! This beautiful short wedding veil has eye-catching floral details, matching the bodice of the wedding dress.

Your fiancé and guests will be wowed with this stunning cathedral-length wedding veil. The look is elegant and modest with a modern trim.

For a beautiful wedding veil that makes a statement, try something with elaborate detailing.

A wedding veil can be seen as sweet, but it can also be quite sassy like this short St. Pucchi wedding veil.

If you're buying a colored wedding dress like this St. Pucchi gown featuring rose appliqués, consider a gorgeous colored wedding veil to match.

Drama doesn't have to mean lace or embellished details; this St. Pucchi wedding veil's beauty is in its length and fullness, beautifully complementing the wedding dress while letting it truly shine.

Matching Your Cake to Your Wedding Dress

Your wedding cake's design should match the look and feel of your wedding, and one way brides achieve that is by matching their cake to their wedding dress. With elegant ruffles, lace details, swarovski crystals or pearl accents to model itself after, a wedding cake really is a natural match to embrace your gorgeous wedding dress. To inspire you, we've rounded up some of our favorite wedding dress and cake pairings below.

If you've gone with a colored wedding dress, try a colored wedding cake, too! These are both pretty in pink and the wedding cake features the same bottom ruffle details as this St. Pucchi wedding gown.

The details on this black and white St. Pucchi wedding dress beautifully matches this black and white wedding cake. (For more black, white and red wedding inspiration, don't miss this post!)

St. Pucchi 9454 Lana

Buying the perfect wedding dress should be a wonderful experience, which is exactly what we try to create here at St. Pucchi. From the moment you step into our private design studio, we'll do everything to exceed your expectations of the traditional wedding dress shopping experience. What does that mean exactly? We've put together a list of some Frequently Asked Questions from brides to help answer your questions on exactly what you can expect when booking an appointment with St. Pucchi.

1. Does St. Pucchi take walk-ins?

Currently, St. Pucchi does not take walk-in appointments. We are a private design studio and each bride will not only have one-on-one attention, she'll be working with the wedding dress designer herself. It's an experience unlike any other.

2. How do I book an appointment?

You can make an appointment request on our website or email style@stpucchi.com.

3. What do I need before calling to book my appointment?

When booking your appointment, please have your budget, wedding date, dress size and favorite St. Pucchi dresses picked out. We will try to have this selection available for you on the day of your appointment.

4. Who should I bring to my bridal fitting appointment?

Your two most trusted friends or family members. Too many opinions can be confusing and frustrating for any bride; we highly recommend coming with one or two people at most so you can trust your instincts and pick the dress you truly desire.

5. What should I bring to my bridal fitting appointment?

Your wedding shoes (if you have already purchased them) and your bridal undergarments. If you don't have the latter, we recommend a nude strapless bra.

6. Does St. Pucchi design anything other than wedding dresses?

Yes, we also do custom veils for our brides, bridal sashes, long mantillas and silk flowers to adorn the hair or dress.

7. Where else can I find St. Pucchi?

You can find us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest!

8. My wedding date is in less than 3 months, is that enough time to come in for an appointment?

Yes. Three months before your wedding date is still enough time to get your dress fitted.

Pantone 2015 Wedding Inspiration: Marsala

When Pantone announced the 2015 color of the year was marsala, a lot of people in the fashion industry were disappointed. But here at St. Pucchi, we knew right away the gorgeous possibilities for an elegant, marsala wedding. The crimson color oozes romance, and pairs well with glamorous gold, soft and pretty pinks, taupe, greens and even navy. The possibilities are practically endless, so we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite ways to incorporate marsala into your wedding day.

1. Marsala Florals

Marsala and green are such a merry pair, the result is a beautiful botanical feel. A solid-color bouquet of deep wine-colored flowers can be simple yet sophisticated. You can also integrate cream and blush flowers for a softer look. When used in floral arrangements, marsala truly bursts with beauty.

Your groom’s tie, your wedding shoes and even your wedding cake are great places to incorporate a little marsala into your wedding day. Don’t forget to incorporate marsala into other places like your wedding invitations, placecards or even your wedding favors.

3. Marsala Beauty

When thinking about your wedding colors, don’t forget to consider how your beauty look complements your wedding dress and the day’s decor! A bold marsala lip, marsala nails or even a dramatic marsala eye are gorgeous ways to use the color on yourself. Just remember, less is more! Go for a bold lip or eye, but never both.

What do you think of marsala as a wedding day color?
